Tarun Mathur laid the foundation of Hamari Pahchan in 2015, with a vision to create a society built on the values of equity and justice. The organization was established in the aftermath of the 2012 Nirbhaya incident, prompted by his daughter’s words:
“Don’t stop me, make Delhi safe!”
Over the years, the audaciousness of striving to make society a safer, more equitable place and the desire to say “whatever I can do, I will do” is what continues to define Hamari Pahchan.
